Years ago many years ago, when my children
were at school, we would stop everyday and buy frozen milk ice-blocks
from Pee Woo Won in his little shop in Draper Street.
Over the years I was told numerous times
by old Cairns residents that they too had looked forward to doing
                the same thing.
One day Very early one morning after taking
my oldest son to work, I decided to stop in at Pee Woo Won's to
buy bacon and eggs for breakfast.
I had on a very old pink floral flannelette
nightgown and very worn red Chinese slippers. He served me without
                a second look.
I felt that this man held many secrets
that he would never reveal. 18 years later
Recently, a friend and fellow lover of
things old and damaged gave to me a couple of pretty blouses that
were from the ladies who lived near Pee Woo Won.
I cannot stop thinking about all the people
he saw and served over many years in his shop in Draper Street.
I cannot stop imagining all he over- heard
                and saw but never revealed.
Sometime in 2007 I would like to make pictures
about what Pee Woo Won saw and heard on the KickArts Shop wall
